The worst part is my favorite oldies are now in TV commercials.

I grew up in the 60s and hated my dad’s music. I raised my kids on 60s music and they still love it! Rock and Roll!

The local youth station has a spinoff station that plays what they played 30 years ago, for people whose tastes ossified but who refuse to admit it.

I like oldies rock for the same reasons he said

That’s not all I listen to, sometimes I want to hear something I haven’t heard a thousand times

When I am alone in the car I mostly listen to hard rock and metal, but when my husband is in the car I turn on the classic station because he has dementia and he can remember those songs.

My theory is, whatever music you were listening to during puberty will be yours for the rest of your life.

I knew I had “arrived” when I stepped into the elevator and heard my favorite hard rock song from 40 years ago being played by an orchestra. so thrilled I can’t tell yah how thrilled I was.

My favorite music is from before my parents were born, and much of it is from before my grandparents or even great great grandparents were around.

I don’t usually listen to my car radio, though.

Oldies stations are playing music from the 90s? Is he cranking up the volume on a NWA tune?

The worst part is unless we listen to satellite radio, the oldies stations here no longer carry our music. They carry music from our kids’ generation.

I knew there was something wrong when in 1990, “Heart” was considered old.
