Like Devo – give us back our tails, and flip phones.

First thing I do when I get a new phone is see what apps I can disable or delete. Then I rarely put one on.

Just updated my phone yesterday. It’s set to auto-update, but won’t unless it’s connected to wifi. I think it was 79 Mb. It’s got a 32 Gb card that’s less than 1% full.

I also have very few apps. If something I need has a browser interface, I will use that rather than download apps that then scrape all my data to sell to who the hell knows who. Messaging and maps and Strava for recording my rides.

Bubb is my kind of cell phone owner. I just text and make phone calls on mind. Drives customs crazy when they demand to see it and ask why I deleted all my emails. I say “What email? I do NOT email with my phone.”

If, in the U.S., the phone could be updated by the owner, as in European countries, I would still be using my Moto X. Happy trails!

I get choked every time I’m told I need to download an app to utelize something I need. It hasn’t been as much of a problem since my daughter gave me her old iPhone. It works as well as a new Android as far as I’m concerned.

I don’t have do apps on my phone as well. the only app I have is weather bug. And what I need for work. Nothing else. Now, taking pics, that’s another problem.

There are apps to control such things as office equipment and home appliances and that’s just the tip of the ice burg.
