What if Calvin doesn’t like the way people change?

Not an issue. Mother is the only person whom you can change by your tantrums. All mother are that way.

He has a great future in Politics and Administration fixing things that aren’t broken, change for change’s sake.

Sure he will not complain about what lunch will be in the emergency room..Calvin would never survive CPS today.

Many people are like that. Wanting to change others, but not themselves.

Yeah, I tried a similar snit fit with my mother about that age. Two things happened. I got my behind spanked (deservedly so) and got to make my own toast and jelly, at least until I cut out the toast part and just started eating the jelly. There was a reckoning for that stunt too.

Poor Calvin… well on the way to a self-indulgent elitist… ;-(

A warning to Hobbes. We all know Hobbes will never change. Someday Cavin will relegate his alter ego to the attic.

I keep seeing parallels between Calvin and “Young Sheldon”…

Calvin’s ol’ man must be a coaster wagon mechanic from hell; or, he buys them in quantity. Oh, yea, this is one of the few strips where he don’t wreck. But then, they’re not showing the complete ride. High-o’ silver away!

There’s good change and bad change.

I doubt Calvin would have been upset if that toast had more jelly than yesterday!

So much wisdom today that it hurts (me).

Maybe more jelly would have made him happy? Saying “I thrive on change” doesn’t mean that every change is equally welcome.

We’re apparently in the “aged well” era of Calvin and Hobbes.

There’s also the excitement of getting new prosthetics.

He didn’t complain about the jelly the day before. So there is change. He didn’t say it would be a good change.

So he wants to deal with Mom’s change by insisting that she never change. Sometimes Calvin gives me a headache. I need a little time to wrap my head around this one.
