I still have the white high top chucks that I wore at my wedding and, with a bit of work to get them white again, at my daughter’s quinceañera over thirty years later.

I have similar problems

Should I wear black shoes, black pants and a black t-shirt or should I wear a black t-shirt, black pants and black shoes?

And the colorist did not read the joke?

If life is naught but a performance, then wardrobe is more significant than we know.

Yes, Katy … it is then an existential crisis.

I’ve heard life is like a bus ride. You board and join the people already riding. During your trip some people get off, others join you, finally you reach your own destination and disembark.

First World Problems. There are children starving in (pick your country) who would love to have a choice in footwear, but who have to go barefoot. That’s what my mom used to say, anyway.

I have three pairs of sneakers – I wear one pair of them. They are all identical boys’ black generic sneakers from Walmart. The other 2 pairs are spares for when this pair wears out as I have trouble finding shoes small enough to fit that I like (and generally despite being female/in my 60s it is generally boys shoes that I like as they not sensible colors- like black, no to very low heeled, and in small enough sizes – as icky pink girl shoes would also be – to fit me) . When these eventually get worn out (at least 5 years old as not new when Covid started) I will figure out how to use them around the house and take one of the spare pairs and wear them just about daily until they are no longer wearable. I did have to replace the shoe lace in one shoe about 6 months into Covid – and tied the lace pieces together until we went shopping again and I could buy a new one.
