ummm i prefer not to be funny then

Spare us, please.

There is some truth to that.

Why are some people “naturally funny”? Is it in their manner of speaking, or their wry fracturing of logic (“he cracks me up”), or something in their appearance?

All through my life I have known people with this talent to seeming effortlessly make people laugh heartedly — from kids who make you snort milk out your nose, to old people whose take on things is spot-on unexpectedly sharp.

Some funny people I have known were “dry drunks,” so maybe it has something to do with brain chemistry, or a type of natural or developed defense mechanism.

why would I waste my talents on the likes of you?

I laughed so hard, tears ran down my leg

I’ve known my sister for over 73 years. I got her “number.” I can literally wear her out with laughter.

I choke when I get that far in my laughter.

A good sense of humour is never wasted, not always appreciated of course, but never wasted :D

Not much incentive to be funny.
