When I was in Security at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, back in 2006, I’d do overnight VIP suite duty, running celebs, politicians, and the other wealthy up and down their own private elevators, then sit outside in a lobby outside the suite doors all night. I do not know which are worse, their own private security, or their entourages.
I had cut part of my finger off the day MTV started in a work accident. I had been hearing of this new channel which was going to show only music videos for a few weeks so I was interested in seeing what it was going to be like. I got home from the ER about an hour before it went live and watched the introduction and startup. I was immediately hooked and spent most of that night up just watching video after video. The next morning when my wife got up I was sleeping on the couch after having fell asleep watching music videos. She became hooked also and for a couple of years after that MTV was almost always playing on one of our TV’s We didn’t listen to radio, we watched MTV lol
I was very young at the time, and heard about it once or twice, later got a glimpse at college or somewhere—didn’t get the concept. Are we watching live concert footage, or a recorded production? Why does the picture keep shifting every two bars to a clip from another take? Is this a fantasy scene, with people lip synching to (two bars of) a recording? Or are the performers filmed making the music (from this weird angle, now from that) on camera for two bars? It didn’t look artsy, just fidgety and confused. I guessed it might make sense if you watched it on drugs; but I didn’t see anyone listening to the whole song from beginning to end.

I guess Alex can make a Snickers run for Leo when he gets hangry.

MTV, eh? Was this strip done in the day when the History Channel was still doing actual history, too?

At least, at the very least, it wasn’t for Michael Jackson’s entourage.

Alex, you may be smart but you’re WAY too young for something like that.
