They are very good at keeping your place snake free. They are great snake hunters. I knew someone who had bought a bunch because her land was full of vipers. No more vipers. Now 20 years later she had plenty of peacocks and furious neighbours tired of being woken up at sunrise by the screams of those big birds and demanding she gets rid of them.
I don’t know where it came from but driving home one day saw a peacock on someone’s front lawn. Not indigenous to the the town. The woman was trying to chase it away. Very strange.
After living in a city being overrun with peafowl, for some time, they no longer seem to be anything but an unwelcome nuisance. And then we have tourists stopping in the middle of the streets to take pictures. The city has even put-up crossing signs. They are extremely stupid birds which wander out into the streets with no concept that cars are dangerous to them. Kinda takes the beauty right out of them.

You’re calling a male Peacock a Diva? Shouldn’t it be a Divo!?

Peacocks do not “squark”. They have a cry that sounds very much like a person screaming for help.

I think having four major characters in the strip is good enough. Sometimes, the less characters you have, the better.

Either that, or the artists wanted to show us how well they can draw a peacocks feathers.

Yes! They sound like the hounds of hell. The ones who spread their fancy tails are males. Can men be divas?

Cats have the “invasive and dangerous to the eco system” covered quite well.

RJ basically had the same reaction to the peacock that Verne had to Gary the Goat from last year.

On the other hand, maybe the artist just wanted to show the beauty of the Peacock’s plumage …… :)

Peacocks in comics illustrate the artist’s skills. It’s a way to ask for a raise.

It isn’t “we don’t need no stinkin’ peacocks,” it’s “we don’t need no stinkin’ badgers.”
