I’m taking a break from filling out some of those right now. Over and over again—and every bit of the info is in their computers!!!

He may be in violation of HIPAA just for telling Ralph that.

Did they let him leave for meals or the restroom?

Had an appointment the other day and they kept sending texts and emails “save time, pre-register and check-in online before your appointment!” So I did. Still had to spend 20 minutes filling out papers when I got there answering all the questions I’d already answered online lol

Hope you haven’t made any plans for the rest of the day (Or the week), Ralph!

Since I’ve NEVER had an appointment where the provider has referred to any of the medical history I painstakingly filled out for them, I have concluded that they make us do that, so when they ask questions, we will know the answer because we just did all the homework for the term paper they assigned!

If the doctor keeps you waiting for hours that is OK, …but…if you are 5 minutes late to an appointment, they insist you make a new appointment.

Injured my shoulder at work. During one of the follow up visits the doc had an emergency surgery, delaying my appt by two hours. I didn’t want to go home then back again so chose to wait at the office. Lunch time the nurse asked if I wanted anything. I declined. She came back out and said “Let’s go, I”ll buy you lunch!” We ended up dating for 5 years. I loved the early morning nurse wake up calls/ visits!

Our new clinic has their act together, except for sending my wife the form link on her phone. So she called, got a real person first try and they sent it to her email. Back in January, I filled out the forms online and all I had to do when I walked in was show them my ID and insurance card.

When he finally does get into one of the examination rooms they’ll take his blood pressure and wonder why it’s so high.

Doctors in the past: “Do no harm.”

Doctors now: “What can we give them to keep them sick and coming back – I need that new Maserati golf cart for my place in Palm Springs. The new model, not the one I have at my place in Aspen or the other one in Palm Beach.”

My “favorite” question on the medical forms is about “social history”. I have often been tempted to go into a long discussion starting with “I was shy as a child…”. (Of course what they’re really asking is about the use of alcohol, tobacco, and recreational drugs!)
