As it´s monday I will cheer you all up. I am out with my dogs before sunrise, then back home for breakfast knowing I do not have to go to work. See, you are all happy for me.
ah I used to be like Jon every morning: woke up excited for the day & raring to go no matter what I was doing that day! After 2 car accidents (1st time hit by a lady in a truck who probably shouldn’t have been driving anything at her age! 2nd was a loony old man driving with 1 of those silver sunshades in his windshield!) subsequent spinal surgeries etc now I wake up like Garfield: bent in half and cranky af lol
I am my mother’s child, a perennial night-owl who would love to sleep in every day. My father is not. He was up at 5:30 am every day exercising at home (simple limberness stuff). One summer I had a girlfriend who I stayed at her house until midnight. Then I had to get up at 6:00 am to get to my summer job. I’d drag my behind into the breakfast room where I would be greeted with a painfully cheerful, “Good Morning!” I never said it but my feelings were pretty much, “Just drop dead and let me die in peace.”

As soon as Garfield hs several cups of coffee to get motivated, he’ll slap Jon for being cheerful and calling him sunshine on a Monday.
