Hinds, given what just happened in Nashville Tennessee perhaps making a joke involving guns is not the right thing right now.

He was hunting “dear”

When I worked in a warehouse, during lunch breaks I’d sometimes have a discussion with the “gun enthusiasts” (I have another term for them, but I kept it to myself) about different firearms, with the topic sometimes touching upon carrying handguns. Rather frankly, they admitted that the primary motive wasn’t so much “protection” as it was intimidation. They felt if people knew they packed there would be less “controversies.” (As a writer once commented, “Carrying a gun means never, never saying you’re sorry.”)

As opposed to a little twerking?

I’m not opposed to hunting in general, but how sitting in a blind waiting for a deer to show up can be considered a sport is beyond me.

I don’t care if nobody is interested in hunting. I just don’t have the discipline to hunt and kill wild animals.

Did we have to run this cartoon this week, considering what happened in Nashville on Monday?
