Zonker’s posture has improved over time. Zipper has a ways to go.

I’ve never understood the American college/university system. What is a sophomore? This is not a thing in the UK.

Just keep asking for more money, Zipper—and she’ll stop calling you mighty quickly!

Your father will see to that!!

If I remember correctly, his sophomore ‘year’ was four of the best years of Zonker’s life.

Looks like a comment for the “LuAnn” comic ended up here. Looks like another wormhole opened up in the comic universe.

Sophomore – a fool who thinks himself wise.

Better send the laundry back soon so Mom can wash them and send them back to you with your boxes of mac and cheese, and ramen or you’ll starve by midterms.

My dad, who went to high school in the late 1930s had a French teacher named Mr. VanLandingham. For some reason he often said, “When McKinley was president, VanLandingham was a sophomore.” He pronounced all three syllables.
