Having scanned the past, I believe I can state with 100 % certainty that Janis has definitely NOT put on weight! Arlo, on the other hand, might be thinking of getting into those pants…

Actually Arlo’s comment could be seen as a compliment. If he thinks the pants will be baggy he’s saying her behind is small.

If they’re Baggy, the diets working, Need to buy new clothes.

Obviously, she’s pregnant.

I would have said: I’m wearing an old pair of pants. (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)

Today I ate a cupcake without the sprinkles. Diets are hard!

Arlo, never answer that quick – think about it.

I think he was shooting for a compliment that the jeans would be baggy on her….but they aren’t.

Alas poor Arlo. Will he ever learn….

Reminds me of a joke. Amish couple get married and are going home in a horse and carriage. The horse stumbles and the husband says “That’s ONE!” They go along a little more and the horse stops and the husband says “That’s TWO!” The horse starts back down the road and rears up. The husband says “That’s THREE!” and proceeds to whip the horse soundly! The wife says “Stop that is so cruel, how can you do this!” The husband looks at her and says “That’s ONE!”

Could it be a compliment because she’s lost weight and the pants are now big and baggy?

He is trying to insinuate that she has got gained weight and can still get into them.

Maybe Arlo was trying to imply Janis had lost weight (hence the loose pants), but she heard “You have no butt with which to fill those pants.”? That’s my best guess.

Janis is trying to get into pants,,,,,, and so is Arlo.

“Those are too big for you.”

And that’s when the fight started.

I’m confused. It seems to me that Arlo is seeing the old pair of pants as being baggy, hence Janis has maintained her more youthful physique. Or are the readers saying that she is still in the process of putting them on, and they might not be fitting baggy at all? Like his comment, either way the pants fit, is premature?

Let me ‘splain it to you: She’s trying to put on an old pair of jeans, probably because her current jeans are too tight. They used to be baggy and in style. She’s gained a few lbs and it’s a struggle. If she can get them zipped, they will not be baggy. Many women have “thin jeans” and “fat jeans” in their closets.

Help her out.

Arlo’s potential dinner tonight… Hot tongue and cold shoulder.

I thought it was a compliment. I must be clueless too.
