Never ask that question Fred! We say here that it is raining cats and dogs…present company gladly included!

Oh, Fred! It can always get worse. You think ‘no’ and just like what happened to Dear, someone or something comes along and splashes you in some way or some how and it’s worse. But like the song says “The sun will come out tomorrow.”

Fred asking that question is a guarantee it will get worse.

Yes—he could be planning on sausages for dinner. We all know how that goes!

Yes, it will get worse when they arrive home and Fred shakes his water off

Now Mr. Dear can join Fred in front of the lit fire. Maybe with some heated sausages and a lovely blanket. I would love to see that picture :-)

When it rains it pours

He could get struck by lightning !

It usually gets worse throughout the day.

Fred you are having the same day for you are with Mr Dear ;-)

But, Fred is a very kind-hearted dorglums, so he feels bad for his Mr. Dear!!!

Looks like you are both having a challenging day. It can only get better

This reminds me of a canoe trip with my dad down a large creek that emptied near our house into the Intracoastal Waterway. We got caught on the low, marshy side of the creek during an intese thunderstorrm. By the time we made it to Whitfield’s Landing, we were as wet as if we had swum the whole way.

I have to admit it’s getting better, a little better all the time (it can’t get no worse).

Hmm, this begs the question…let’s see if they follow up a Sunday comic with an arc (nah!). And you’ll notice it doesn’t seem to be too hard on Fred!

Oh, “YES” it can Fred ……. but then you’ll get home and dry off by the nice, warm fireplace …………… :)

Careful, Fred. Don’t give the thought police any ideas. At least your friend is willing to take the splashes for you. Once home, a quick dry, no bath needed. Your friend will need a little more time. Be nice to him.

How can you have a bad day when Fred is with you? Challenging, yes. Bad, nope.

One of those wonderful days where you hope you can beat the rain home. Hopefully a hot shower and a stiff brandy will restore all to rights.

I hope the phone is waterproof. He shouldn’t have been using it while walking Fred anyway. There is a woman who walks on my street with a dog on a leash and a child in a carriage. She is always on her phone. It’s a quiet street, but she should pay more attention to her companions.

Mr Dear should have been more prepared because having lived in England it usually rain always care a brollly

Come on Fred, show him how to shake it off!!

It can only get worse when you both get home and you violently shake off all the water inside and on him.. (A friendly hint – Alway carry a brolly)…
