I was just watching one of those “Karen” videos on YouTube where the K in question went off on one at a service employee. This looks strangely familiar……..

The trick is to throw the bowl hard enough to express the demand but not too hard to knock the human out…

More subtle for some than for others.

it’s brilliant the way Jon picks up on Garfield’s nuances

I don’t like it when people mess with my nuances!

If that is subtle, I would hate to see direct.

Why can’t be more like Snoopy, and just bang on the door with supper dish in hand?

Why wait for Jon? Just raid the fridge like you always do.

If that’s subtle by Garfield standards then what does unsubtle look like?

That was a great way to communicate. Garfield and Jon are on the same page.

Garfield needs to be more subtle with Jon.

My cats were no quite so obvious. Though their constant meow nagging did tend to get my attention.

Garfield always uses the subtle approach to get Jon’s attention.

At least he didn’t throw a plate.

When a puppy, one of our Rottweilers got impatient to be fed so he picked up his food dish and brought it to my wife and with a flip of his head tossed it into her lap. She took the hint and fed him. I was working swing shift and I missed it…

That’s sledgehammer-level subtlety!

Or he wants to diet. Can’t tell.

Give Jon a break, Garfield. It looks like he just woke up.

I guess a cat’s definition of subtle is a lot different than how we define the word.

When doesn’t he want food?

The semi-feral overlord who condescends to live near me makes it very clear when I’m late with his breakfast.

And then he’ll turn his nose up at it because it doesn’t smell like rotten fish.

That was about as subtle as a jackhammer and twice as annoying.

Get an automatic feeder. Problem solved.

I love the second panel; poetry in motion. Didn’t know Jon had a giraffe tongue; who knew?
