Flouncy and Agnes don’t seem to go together.

Put a bottom in it and use it as a wastebasket. ;-P Hahaha!

It would work quite well at a Grateful Dead show.

Agnes’ feet may hinder some of those intricate square dancing moves.

Guess this dates me but I remember when square dancing was cool.

Around 1960, our family was in a “newer” suburb, which meant the town was still half farms. I was in Jr, High, and there was Square Dances each weekend at the “Community Cabin”There was very little in the way of entertainment locally, which helped make it popular. Plus with minimal touching involved, it lacked the trauma of asking/being asked, that came with other dances/sock hops.

Quadrille in the Virgin Islands is still cool, and the ladies’ fashions are beautiful.

Cool is created. Agnes is JUST the one to swing it.

In high school, I got dragged against my will to a square dance in a church basement with total strangers. How uncool! I was mortified. My parents had met some people who invited me to go with their kid, and they forced me to go.

Oh, my gosh, we had so much fun!
