They have also threatened to cut funding if their districts send them back, talk about blackmailing about returning caring and responsible black males who want to protect children, while the rest just want to breed them to sell so their pedophile friends can traffic them and make money

So…after the Governor installs a crony, when the good citizens RE-ELECT their representatives, will they be accepted?

These Nashville, Tennesse police offices, can teach the Uvalde, Texas police officers, how to be brave!!

I assume this means that a special election will be called to replace the expelled members. I wouldn’t be surprised if the former members simply ran and were reelected. Waste of time and money just to enable the majority to make a point. A vote of censure would have made the same point in a less costly way.

IMO, just as women will not buckle under the weight of conservatism, neither will non-white folks be shoved back into the pre-Civil Rights days w/o resisting. Republicans are going the proverbial one step too far and they will rue their day of reckoning.

I want to thank the Tennessee Legislature for their move to expel these two gentlemen. Your action promoted them to the world stage and handed them a bigger megaphone than they ever dreamed of having.

A majority on Nashville’s Metropolitan Council has pledged to reinstate Democrats Justin Jones and Justin Pearson to the Tennessee Legislature after Republicans expelled them for participating in gun violence protests at the state capitol. The council is scheduled to hold a special hearing on Monday which will include a vote to reinstate the two elected officials, setting up a stunning rebuke of the shameful and utterly fascist maneuver. And guess what? Tennessee’s constitution says no representative can be expelled twice for the same offense. Haha!

Having been the right age for the Disney inspired Davy Crockett fad I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for Tennessee. Recent events are changing that.

The 3 were sanctioned, and the 2 were expelled, for the offense of being against continued school shootings. Kind of tells you what the legislature Retrumpliqon view is on that issue.
