Oh ho…the plot thickens. Speaking of inheritance, my cousins wife inherited 100 grand not once but twice from relatives she never met. What are the odds?
From yesterday’s comments where Gweedo said, “Peonies attract ants. Dad’s last house came with peonies. They grew in a cultivated space alongside the house. He had a time with ants too and eventually the flowers were taken out.”
Not in my experience. I have peonies in my yard that are older than I am. They can be seen in family photos dating back to around 1955. The only time I see ants on or around them is when they are in bud, just about to bloom. The ants from the peonies don’t come into the house. I love peonies!
Just as an FYI, I did bake crescent rolls for dinner last night. I got the Pillsbury ones from the can. And I remembered to try cinnamon sugar, but I only did it on one, just in case I didn’t like how it turned out. Well, it turned out pretty good! I was so worried about using too much cinnamon sugar that I didn’t sprinkle on quite as much as I should have before rolling it up. But this is something I would definitely try again. Just a little stronger on the cinnamon next time.
Mimiuex? Rufous?? Interesting experience yesterday. Finally warm enough for the rattlesnakes to be emerging from their winter den about 7 miles up the road. Quick glances at 2 scurring under rocks, then found a big beautiful red one curled up down in some rocks and watched it for quite a while until it moved away. Walked to another section, always poking my hiking sticks in bushes and under rocks and walking heavily in my boots to let them know I was there. Standing quietly for a few minutes carefully looking, or so I thought, I heard a low rattle and one slithered right past my feet TOUCHING my boot!! It was not aggressive and never seemed to look at me, just continued up under a rock. They are just starting to warm up and it had no reason to use it’s venom as I was standing perfectly still and not a threat. Of course my phone was in my pocket and I didn’t get a picture. Quite exciting for those of us who love snakes!!
Still can’t tell if this is good news or bad news. Hopefully, it’s good news. On another note, saw five robins, a rabbit, two vireos, four sparrows, and six juncos while out walking today.

Hmmm, would the inheritance include an additional five cats perhaps? On second thoughts, she doesn’t need the possibility of additional Chesneys!!

If she inherits the warehouse, that won’t be good. She’d have to pay taxes on it.
