You come from a womb ( woom) and after a bomb (boom) you end up in a tomb (toom).

And dumb is pronounced BOOM in this case as well.

In crossword puzzles and Scrabble I want to just spell things phonetically…it dusint werk!.

If it was pronounced like that, it would be an onomatopoeia.
