Went to Denney’s recently and asked to substitute two bacon strips with two sausage links. I got the 4 sausage links, as ordered, and the chef threw in the two bacon strips as a bonus. Free bacon made my day.
At a recent trip to my local Ihop, I found out that I can no longer get my old favorites from them any more, so I had to kind ofscratch them from my list of restaurants… They no longer make “Piggies in a blanket”, French dip sandwiches along witha few of their old classics that I’ve loved over the years. Also the various selections of syrup has dwindled to a bare minium.
I wonder how long Brutus was waiting to spring that one. Like I’m still waiting for the perfect opportunity to make a Limerick that starts with "There was a young gal from Nantucket’ , or “There once was a woman from Venus” (not here of course ㋛)…
It’s amazing that bacon doesn’t come with health warnings, like cigarettes. Both are class one carcinogens, along with asbestos and nuclear waste. Eat bacon at your peril, folks.
So he won’t eat any more than usual. I’m also a member of that club. Speaking of clubs, a Club Sandwich with an unusually large amount of bacon, OR my real favourite (for my Canadian Students), a double bacon and double patty cheeseburger, with all the fixins of course, AND a large order of onion rings with Ranch Dressing on the side. (Low fat Dresssing would be Okay as I wouldn’t want to overdo it) sounds really good right now. Oh and I won’t forget the defibrillator, just in case…..

Isn’t there a blood/bacon level that has to be maintained for good health? Take 10 strips of bacon and call me in the morning…

Perhaps Brutus should have phrased his declaration “I won’t be eating any more bacon,” and then clarified “I won’t be eating any less bacon, either.”

For a minute there, I thought Brutus’s experience at the diner yesterday did him in for bacon. Glad to see he recovered!

So Brutus likes to start the day off with a little breakfast humor.

He started out so well. I wonder what it’s like to sit down at home and order a meal?

After saying “I’m not eating it any more.” Turn, lean, and pretend you are Groucho Marx with a cigar saying “I’m not eating it any less either.”

You just can’t beat a bacon sandwich with a little tomato sauce on it. Yum!
