They can deliver quite a shock. Even Sherman would feel it.

Sherman, being that rarity of Nature,the Fat Shark, is well-insulated against the shocks of life.

Electric eels are actually knifefish, and as such have their long fin underneath, not on top.

He’s a rare subspecies of Joy Buzzer Eels.

Funniest Sherman strip I have seen in a while.

Buzz off eel. Only food is capable of getting Sherman’s attention.

Always knew Sherman’s blubber layer would be good for something.

As an empathic person who’s friends have told to get a thicker skin for decades I have always envied people who can brush off people like the ones who are determined to push my buttons to get a reaction so that they can play victim.. like the child who swung from his sisters ponytail as his mom was looking the other way and when sister lashed back mom was suddenly done with her task and sister ‘got it’. Perfect strangers who do things like walk up to me, blocking my way out the exit, scream in my face then play victim or just gratified that they were able to get a rise out of me.

I wonder, if you got enough of them together …. if you could power an EV… :)

I figured there was going to be a punchline about Sherman’s phone getting charged from the shocks. “One more, and I’ll have enough juice to get through the day.”

As best I recollect, “electric” eels are fresh-water fish located in the Amazon basin, so it would be unusual for Sherman to meet one – though there is a species of shark that does frequent a Central American lake – Lake Nicaragua, the largest lake in Central America…
