In the realm of child discipline, what in the world is wrong with ten hard swats on a bare bottom??? spare the rod/spoil the child…whom a father loves he also chastises.
I loved being grounded when I was a kid. No real consequences for my actions. All I needed to do was keep myself amused, sleep, read books, etc. I went through the Sherlock Holmes stories several times, it never got old. I suppose my parents thought this was supposed to be time to reflect on my actions, but that never happened. No chores ether, so that was a plus.
