Just as well—Capp would undoubtedly guzzle down all the booze at the celebration and proceed to make a fool of himself before falling into the Thames!!
You know, it was a popular idea when planning a wedding to send an invitation to Her Majesty. You would get a nice, official reply from the Palace that the Queen sends her regrets that she cannot attend.
Then one time, only a few years back, the Queen was on an official visit to a place very near where she knew a wedding was taking place that she had gotten an invite to and dropped in! Was that bride overwhelmed!
Well, Mr Purple Suit, you obviously didn’t receive your invitation either. Andy, as a national treasure, ought to have been invited… The man has a statue!!
I still have not figured out why they have a king. The Prime Minister runs the show. Their blood is the same as any ones. They don’t work, and the public pays all their bills. Sorta like being on welfare in the U.S.

Down with the so-called “King” – nobody asked the British people whether we want to continue with a monarchy – let’s make this Charles the Last.

A bad Republic is always better than a good monarchy. And English isn’t a good one. Long life to Andy Capp.

I never understood the hype over the British monarchy, especially here in America.
