Speaking of: I’ve got a bottle of “Popcorn Sutton’s” white whiskey, in the ‘lawsuit bottle’ (because it too closely resembled a Jack Daniels bottle). Google him if you’re curious. He was quite a character.
A long time ago distillers tried to stage a rebellion against paying a federal tax on whiskey. It failed. https://www.mountvernon.org/george-washington/the-first-president/whiskey-rebellion/#:~:text=The%20Whiskey%20Rebellion&text=In%201794%2C%20farmers%20from%20Western,Washington%2C%20with%20a%20looming%20crisis.&text=In%201791%2C%20Congress%20approved%20a,the%20stills%20that%20produced%20them.
This was the first time that the POTUS exercised his office as Commander-in-Chief of the US Armed Forces. Put on his uniform and led troops into battle. When the rebel scofflaws heard he was leading the troops they basically gave up. Leaders were arrested but later pardoned. Other Presidents have visited war zones, but no others have led troops to battle.
By the look of the vegetation, hunting season has arrived. I gather they have an opinion regarding gold ownership. Revenuers were disagreeable regarding the opinion, for a few years.

Revenuers, by definition are pragmatists, and they have been at it a lot longer than you and Jackson there.
I wouldn’t be surprised if “Pragmatic” was a part of their job description.

Unfortunately, they usually don’t want to discuss it.

Well that’s some shine I will be sure to avoid. No self-respecting shiner would ever know, much less use a word like pragmatist.

Maybe not, but I’m guessing they do figure you to be armed and come ready for it.

Oh sure, really not funny since some groups are advocating killing government officials. Just feed the MAGA nutjobs.

And they wouldn’t have misspelled or mispronounced “revenooer”.
