I often wonder why a paradox is so captivating. Not the gaslighting kind. Those are just shallow and manipulative. I mean ones that really get the brain gears whirling.

After a certain number of those parties, your entire past becomes a fiction you have reinvent after each hangover. You wonder why certain people avoid you, specific women will no longer look you in the eye and policemen recognize you on the street.

There are so many parties from my time in college that I don’t remember… mostly because I didn’t go to them.
