My first dog was a Shepherd/Collie mix. She loved water. If you ran the bath, she be in the tub, biting at the water coming out of the faucet! She loved to swim, and if you were at a lake, you could throw a rock, and she’d stick her head under and try to find it! Sometimes, it would be close to 30 seconds before she came back up!
We used to have a dog that we would walk on a trail at a small lake. If we let him get even near the water’s edge, he would wade in and then flop over completely. He loved water, and didn’t mind baths much either.
I took a rafting trip on the Colorado River. When you go through the rapids you get wet. We had rain one day & we were all grumbling that we got wet. Eventually realized that we were being a bit silly, although getting wet with river water was nicer than water that was pouring down on us.

You may never really know what they are capable of doing unless you treat them just right.

I had a dog that would jump into any pool of water it saw except the bathtub.

So, in future, sprinkle him with some shampoo, then do the bridge and nut thing.

Poncho only wants to get wet for a good reason.

There is a BIG difference between someone getting you wet and getting wet by yourself. One is an imposition and the other is a choice.

next time, throw some kibble or other food into the bath water — just a little bit.
