That’s deep (See what I did there?).

There, there, Buckles…..

On hot days our male digs a hole and sits in it..

Because it’s cool (er) down there……

Arden and Buckles are so cute!

We were fortunate that none of our dogs ever dug holes in the yard. That might have been because they were indoor pets though with little need to stay warm or cool out of doors.

Kind of like gong forth to give the Yeti (not my Dick Tracy character…the OTHER ONE) a pedicure. It also isn’t.

Dogs dig because they can.

If I stop to talk to someone outside on a dog walk, I need to watch my dog. She eats grass like a salad, and really prefers the fresh shoots. She will dig a little trench to get the fresh stuff and do it in other people’s lawns if I am not paying attention. But she doesn’t need to go deep, at least. She doesn’t dig just for the fun of it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she did when she was young. I didn’t have her until she was 6 years old and I would generally say she has very good manners.

Sure it may be an interesting philosophy, Buckles, but what’s not interesting is the fact that either Paul or Jill will read you the riot act about digging in the yard again.

How do you know when you have a whole hole?

Pretty hard to argue with that point Buckles …….. :)
