Took me a while to figure out what the guy was saying.

Laughed out loud for this one.

Not sure how true this story is. 2 guys book a trip down a river in Africa. Sometime during the 1st day, the guide is standing in the boat and a massive croc explodes from the water and takes him. Now there are 2 guys, totally unsuited to survive, they have to make it downstream another 4 days. The shorelines aren’t exactly safe with all the critters roaming them. But somehow they made it.

This is actually sad to read now, knowing the future fate of the guy it’s based on.

Coincidentally I watched a Youtube video yesterday on media that’s been lost and is probably lost forever. One of the items they covered was the footage of Irwin’s death. Apparently Irwin had a standing rule with his crew that they were to keep filming no matter what – even if meant his death – so that’s exactly what the cameraman did in this case. The original videotape was given to Irwin’s family who reportedly destroyed it.

I remember picking up my kids from school the day the news broke. I think every kid there was in mourning – and most of the teachers.
