The kids can do arts and crafts and plays and sing songs and learning new skills and get to be in nature and get lots of exercise … and the parents can enjoy them having all of those experiences.

Sounds like fun.

It’s been so successful, the name might become Camp Believe It.

Yeah, I remember camp-away-a-day.

NOW I know why my folks sent me to camp every summer!

And the children will be delivered to the camp daily by Minnie Van Driver.

The camp chef is Bea Ferrone.

The dessert chef is Tyra Meesu.

The music director is Al Lowetta.

Director of Three Stooges film day is Lee Eyeapoka.

The PE instructor is Jim Shortz.

The program intern isGladys Overnow.

Is Wren old enough for that camp? Hammie and Zoe are.

I liked going to day camp—it was a lot of fun and I learned how to do different arts & crafts.

Now that’s Mothers’ Day(s)…..

Wanda could use a break. Problem is this is a once in a life time chance since Zoe and Hammie won’t be invited back.

My first impulse was wondering if it was for kids or adults.

I used to help my folks as “speakers” at summer vacation Bible camps. We did puppet plays, dad (and sometimes mom) used a ventriloquist dummy, we had an original “magic lantern” slideshow of Pilgrim’s Progress that dad narrated with tape recorded background music, we had a hike with various stops illustrating stages of the Exodus, dad used some magic tricks as visual illustrations of the Gospel and lessons from the Bible, and mom often finished the week by creating a large chalk drawing (again set to recorded hymns and classical music) and when she was finished I would operate a board that shone different colored lights on it, and finally just a blacklight that brought out a glowing feature that wasn’t noticeable before. The camps had all sorts of sports, games, and usually an arts and crafts hut/shack/building. Happy times, good memories.
