But it is true. I have gotten to the point where I can run through all the channels in less than 2 minutes and then go back to the least annoying show. I don’t actually watch, just have it on for noise (right now husband has reruns of “the Waltons” on, a show he refused to watch for decades and now watches twice a day for hours seeing the same reruns over and over.

Weird Al Yankovich has a funny TV-related parody of “You Can’t Touch This” by MC Hammer, called “I Can’t Watch This”. Video on YouTube, album Off the Deep End.

I’ve found myself either listening to music on Sirius XM, or watching The Price is Right 80s episodes on Pluto TV. The 80s fashions are great.

Pink Floyd sang about having “13 channels of $#!+ on the TV to choose from.” We have far more channels, but even worse quality.

In “The Kid”, the young Bruce Willis comes forward in time and is watching TV. He yells, “there are 90 channels and there is still nothing to watch!” Fast forward, 500 channels and still nothing to watch, but yet we do watch…

“There’s nothing good on TV.” = I’m too lazy to get up and replace the batteries or change the channel by hand.

I guess you’re going to have to get more batteries.

I stream on Disney, Paramount and Netflix. I find some fun stuff.

DVRs help a lot.

They need a remote that charges from being waved around while yelling at the TV.

Reading today’s comments reminds me how clever it was of me to get rid of my TV many moons ago!
