I know some professional photographers who are really struggling now. Weddings used to be their main bread and butter with lots of requests for photos to be printed for bride, groom and guests. Now, there are so many people with either phones or cameras, that out of the thousands of pictures that get taken, there are a decent number that can be used instead of the expensive professional one. Risky business now.
I once crossed paths with a couple who had been high school classmates of my mom. As we were parting, the man suggested that I ask Mom about their Junior Prom. So, I asked. Mom started blushing, with a big sh!t-eating grin. Shaking her head. she responded with a very firm, “Never, ever, ever, NO!” All I could think was that her circle of friends must have had a really fun time, and even 50 years later, nobody was talking.

You did. You just didn’t advertise to the world how stupid you were.

If there was social media you’d have a record of the things you did, ITYM.

Not to brag, but I managed to do a lot of stupid things without social media.

We did the stupid stuff, we just didn’t have it made public. A few scars and/or yellowed newspaper clips are all that remain.
