Not sure when the collection began but a friend had a nice collection of antique watering cans of all sizes, shapes and forms. She is now gone. I often wonder what happened to it.
I have about nine large watering cans! They aren’t decorative though. I have eleven large pots of tomato plants on my balcony, plus one of lettuce and a hanging lobelia; my friend passes our hose up from below, and I fill them all at once. It gives me a week or more of water, rather than lugging a heavy, two-gallon watering can through my apartment multiple times a week.
