I know one thing that they AREN’T teaching them in school these days. I’m finding lots of kids who’ve never heard of Socrates. They don’t even recognize the name…
Several years ago I was working in a big box hardware store when the acoustic version of “Layla” came on the sound system. The young person I was working with said, “Wow, that guy is good!” I told him, “That’s Eric Clapton.” His reply was, “Who?”
I’m feeling youthful now, I’ve never of either. And after hearing the Dr. Feelgood songs the RJM and Eldo posted on Creators, I’m eager to forget them again. Also, apparently Google has never heard of “Babyface” Bobby Biggin either.
I knew about the Motley Crue album and song but did not know about the British band. If it weren’t for the comics I wouldn’t get any education at all.
I was once asked by a young guy on my job how spell a simple four letter word. I said he had a college degree and he said yes but they were not big on spelling. Guess spelling was not woke enough.

There is so much we learned in school that children aren’t learning anymore. It’s rather sad.
