I don’t believe the yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling banned posing as a Kennedy to get into college.

I had FAR more term papers in high school than in college. Although one semester of “student teaching” was tougher than any paper could be!!

racist quotas exist in employment interviews. also if you’re a veteran. a kid out of high school with nothing but excellent grades was faced with a lot of BS, just to apply. i told them during my interview that i was a 1600s irish slave decendant, with north african and asian (russia) heritage. brought my dna-ancestry print-out with me. i’m white.

As an acknowledged policy, 40% of Harvard undergrads are admitted under because they are children of alumni, staff, large donors, or for athletic skills.

Amazing how very easy it is to spot racism and hatred in America today but how hard it is to teach about why racism is such and evil nasty thing in schools and even in colleges. “That is mighty white of you” is a much under used phrase for such situations

Just be careful if you marry a Kennedy, you might have a curse and misogyny to deal with

Whatever works. I mean it’s not like anyone actually checks on these things. Look at congress.

People have trouble keeping track of ALL the Kennedy’s, so Zipper probably sneaked through.

My Grandmother was a Kennedy before she married. Doubt that would have helped me get into college.

As the courts push the U.S. back in time, how long before it’s 1850 again?

Am I to understand that some here believe it is acceptable to determine a person’s ability by thier skin color?

i always think about it this way: the original wealthy tribe members were the ones who had excess food, tools and materials stashed in the back of their cave… saved for a sparse season. They share with those they choose to share with… and almost always with fellow tribes members. That is the concept i start with when i am thinking about wealth and poverty etc nowadays… is that caveperson being ethical if he does not share the knowledge of how to hunt or gather or how to make tools? how to do well enough to survive?

The whole point of affirmative action was to counteract the failure of metrics to admission to accurately predict performance within the tertiary institution.
