You don’t REALLY understand a concept until you’ve taught it to someone who sees things from a very different perspective. That insight was what got me straight 4.0 grades the second time I went to university. Well, that and paying for it with my own money so I was bound and determined to get full value.

If you want it at your own pace, get your own tutor.

I always thought the same thing. Sorry Caulfield, it just doesn’t work that way.

Caulfield hasn’t always been so into himself. See Feb 8, 2015. One of the best.

This is a benefit of homeschooling though. You can go at your own pace instead of being tied down to the government system.

Interesting that Charlotte in Heart of the City this week is wondering whether she should skip a grade and leave her friends behind, while Caulfield here wonders why he should stick around when he’s finished all his schoolwork. Frazz has a good suggestion for both of them.

When I was able to finish my assignment before the allotted time was up, I’d just go over to the set of encyclopedias on one side of the room, pick one out, and start reading it until it was time for the next subject.
