LOLâŠ.yeah then youâd have to actually have eye contactâŠ..or an eye roll LOLâŠ.HAPPY VALENTINEâS DAY EVERYONEâŠLightenup, Dr. Billy, Aaron, Susan, Lindzcoop, gmforde, viperdude, Gretchâs Ma, hendelca(sp?) and the rest of the wonderful Cathy nuts :)
Sure, electronics are a bit more logical, but theyâre not much fun to curl up with.
Happy Valentineâs Day, Cathy friends!Hello to Aaron, Susan GsMom, Billy, KFG, gmforde, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, Mona and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today! Love that youâre my friends! <3
My adult grandkids seem to be content conducting their relationships through their fancy phones. However they both know they have to verbally communicate with me, and as my room is sandwiched between their two, I still manage to have a respectable amount of face-time with them both.
Happy Valentineâs Day! I love how Cathy wants to make sure everythingâs covered. You never know what Irving might be using. Iâm surprised she doesnât send him a mushy ring tone for his cell phone. Itâs too complicated to arrange your busy schedule to match theirs. lol
HAPPY VALENTINEâS DAY from my computer to the computers of all the other Cathy Nuts. It is sad that technology is overshadowing live contact but then again, if it were not for technology I would never have met all of you!
Normally, behavior like this will only get you slapped with a restraining order . . . unless Irvingâs the kind of guy that actually enjoys being stalked by a whack-a-doo like Cathy â then sheâs the absolute perfect woman for him!
Â
Happy Valentineâs Day to Aaron, Dr. Billy, lightenup, K.F.G., Susan, rgcviper, gmforde, lindz.coop, Mona, hendelca and all the rest of the Cathy fanatics hanging out with us here today. Glad to âseeâ you all!
I canât resist posting this. Aaron had it ready to go for whenever our Internet came back:
Â
_OK, show of hands â how many missed us? 1, 2, 3, 4 . . . eleventy seventeen, eleventy eighteen. Wow. Cool.
Â
Before I forget, for future reference, here is what to assume when weâre not online longer than usual:
Â
Our Internet connection is downTerrorists dropped the bomb on us and we were wiped off the planetOur Internet connection is downWeâre glued to endless hours of TV and just canât possibly get awayOur Internet connection is downLittle Muttley Beagle was in need of long snuggling sessions and cried when I left him alone for more than a couple minutes. Our Internet connection is downand finally, last but not least, and should have been mentioned up front,Our Internet connection is down
Â
Geez, Billy was right. I do get sarcastic when Iâm forced to be serious. :-D_
Â
Yesterday morning the automated system said there was an outage. Same thing this a.m. I made one more try myself a half hour ago. The automated system apparently sent a command to the router. Ta da . . . alive and well again. Kinda Big Brother-ish that Verizon can fix it remotely, but who cares?
BTW, only the last paragraph above was from me. I tried to set the rest off in italics but failed. Cathy, too complicated is right. We have 389 email message in our inbox. Weâd never see a Valentineâs greeting until too late. Though I did just send my own greeting to my budâs iPhone.
Â
Aaronâs squad is also part of Homeland Security because of the teamâs access to government officials. His area serves Capital Hill. Another squad handles the White House. I too am part of a goverment agency and canât access âpersonalâ Internet sites. Mostly, no time either. My work day is so full. And Aaronâs is just chaotic as youâd expect.
@ Sarcastic Aaron â Other than my husbandâs sweet gift this morning, Iâm in a bad mood, so hereâs my sarcastic responseâŠSooo another option for you two not being online is that Aaron got incredibly injured on the job and Billy is spending a lot of time at the hospital, and updating Cathy is the least of his worries? I would totally understand that, and I also understand that as much as you guys LOVE us (thatâs only semi-sarcastic), itâs totally understandable if updating your Cathy friends gets pushed down the priority list as you deal with much more important issues. Just sayinââŠ
Oops, âout of TOWNâ. I havenât quite got the âout of TIMEâ trip down. You know, that whole space/time continuum thing that we have to live by.
Hi and Happy Valentineâs Day (did I make it?!?) to all Cathyites!! Glad everyoneâs ok â I kinda figured it was an internet problem with the guys. Just be thankful you donât have to deal with Cathy on this day â for once (and only once), I almost feel sorry for Irving.

Believe it or not, a slight variation on this theme was actually the subject of a Ray Bradbury short story 30 years ago.

p.s. I would say that about onety-one people missed you (you can translate that to at least 11 or 101, depending on how youâre rounding)⊠:-)
