Cathy: I don't want to say "yes" and make the mistake of being too generous and then feel taken advantage of. Then again, I don't want to say "no" and make the mistake of being overly cautious, withdrawn and stingy. Then again, I don't want to "think about it" and make the mistake of turning a simple request into a big, complicated, icky deal. I don't want to keep making the same mistakes, but what else are there?

I agree with Susan, and also think that Cathy is debating with herself about answering Irving’s question from yesterday, “Can my dog stay with you for a few days while I’m out of town?”Good morning, KFG, Mona and Susan!@ KFG – We miss you too, although we love your comments! Sounds like you’re having fun – watch that head! :-)Good morning, Aaron! I hope you’ve gotten over Irving’s atrocious behavior – don’t worry about him! Hello to GsMom, Billy, gmforde, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today!

Geez Cathy, you’re gonna end up with ulcers if you keep that up. We can accept ‘eye roll crazy’ but those internal discussions lead us only to one word — nut job. Once again, a tip from the ‘boys down the block’; talk to Irving. Tell him what’s on your mind. The worst that can happen is he’ll run out of the house screaming. Not a biggie. Seriously.
:-D
I think it’s Billy and me who live in the BizzaroWorld of feelings. Out motto is ‘if you got ‘em, show ‘em. Happily married couples the wold over would agree. Our GU and GWU student friends say they get as much education from Billy and me as they do from class. I said yesterday on FBOFW that I sometimes ask Billy if he loves me because I love hearing the answer. It’s most effective if I stop what I’m doing and look him in the eye.
I’m lost in time. Really busy overnight, then a dentist appt. this a.m. Now I can sleep about 4 hours. Later . . .

Aw crud, bitten by the Apple auto-correct. I’ve seen it as one or two words though Susan, but mostly as one. Sigh.

Well, Cathy could make new mistakes, but those are harder to learn from.
KFG I haven’t been to a medical convention yet. I’m still a little greenhorn. My only source for being a little tipsy has a heartbeat. With a wine pairing, he just can’t be beat.
And the answer to Aaron’s question? Head over heels, every minute of every day. As our favorite songstress would say “Here inside my heart, I’m the one who wants to love you more”. (Take note Irving. This is the right answer, though not the only one.)

Looks to me like you’ve backed yourself into a corner, Cathy.
Hello, everyone.

I don’t know why Cathy is agonizing over this!
She likes Irving . . . she likes Vivian . . . Electra likes Vivian . . .
Vivian likes both her and Electra too.
So what’s the big deal?!?!?
In my opinion, I think it’s saying a whole lot that Irving is trusting her with his most precious and loved possession in the whole world . . . his dog! So unless Cathy’s going to be working a lot of overtime or will also be out of town and can’t do it, why not just say “Yes, I’d be glad to” and think of it as yet another step forward in their relationship rather than analyzing it to death?!? Sheesh!!!!!
Good evening, Aaron, Dr. Billy, lightenup, K.F.G., Susan, rgcviper, Mona, lindz.coop and all the rest of the “Cathy Fanatics Fan Club” hanging out with me here tonight. Good to “see” you all!

Once again…IT’S A COMIC STRIP! IT’S SUPPOSED TO JUST BE FUNNY! DON’T ANALYZE IT TO DEATH! If you think this fictional character is too neurotic, then just stop reading!

Viva the neuroses!! That’s why we read it!!
