Cathy: Tonight? Let me check......Sorry, mom. I can't tonight. There's a show I need to watch. Mom (from phone): Why don't you tape it? Cathy: I did tape it. Mom (from phone): Then watch it tomorrow night. Cathy: Tomorrow night's my only chance to see the "Saturday Night Live" episode I taped last night. On Tuesday I have to see the "dateline" I taped last Friday...on Wednesday I always watch the "Biography" I taped on Monday. That way I can use Thursday to see the "Fraiser" I taped on Tuesday and Friday to see the "friends" I taped on Thursday......Otherwise, I'll go into the weekend behind, and I'll never get caught up!! Why not just watch the shows when they're on and be done with it?? Oh, please, mom...I refuse to have my time dictated by some TV schedule!

So that’s what dogs are talking about! To me, it’s just a bunch of barking, but they’re just getting to know each other.The last panel made me think of a friend who lets her kids crawl all over her when other adults are talking to her. It’s incredibly distracting, and several of us wish she would set some rules and boundaries.Good morning, Susan and gmforde!@ Susan – I sure wish I could have slept in today! My husband came home on Friday with the flu, so I’m sleeping in my daughter’s room which takes some adjusting. Also I am an usher at church this month, so I had an obligation to be there today. But later today, I’m planning on going to a neighbor’s house for a get-together and some munchies, so I’m looking forward to that!Hello to GsMom, Aaron, Billy, KFG, gmforde, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, Mona, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today!I bet Aaron and Billy are enjoying time with family in NH. At home, LMB can open the lower cupboard door to get at his snacks. At Gram’s and Gramp’s, he gives my folks intense eyes first and then gets his own. He knows it’s okay when my Dad laughs out loud at him. Aaron is proud of LMB this trip — he didn’t yak on Aaron’s sneakers like he did at Christmas.

Afternoon fellow Cathyites. We were out playing soccer all morning with some of my high school friends. Mom made Aaron a strawberry rhubarb pie as his birthday cake. His birthday cake in NY was cheesecake after the show. The closest he gets to a real birthday cake was GsMom Cathy cake.

For what it’s worth, I just e-mailed GoComics to tell them about the lack of Sunday comics here in “Cathy”-land. I’ll let you know if/when I receive a response.

Hi Cathyites!! In response to my inquiry, I got a note back from GoComics saying that they are aware of the problem, are working on it and hope to have it fixed soon. I don’t know about the rest of you, but my Saturday comic is really elongated to the size of a Sunday comic, but just has the usual 3 panels.
Pets are pesty, but we were so relieved when our kitten who disappeared this morning while the other cats were rather noisily fending off an intruder, came slinking in the house as soon as I rattled the food bin. I was very happy to have him on my lap tonight while I watched the news — shedding and all. He did start pestering for “Newslap time” an hour early tonight — I assume because of daylight savings time (which I LOVE!!!!!).
