Baby boomers' eyes are aging...and suddenly reading glasses are trendy and hip. Baby boomers' skin is aging...and suddenly wrinkle cremes are chic and happening. ...And suddenly the teensy bikini is back! Cathy: WHAT??! Saleswoman: Big, baggy suits would have been so predictable...

I was born in the latter years of Generation X so mostly I cannot relate and there is no way I’m getting into that teensy bikini.
Morning Susan and lightenup probably not too far behind. Hello Cathyites and the Lurkers (hmmm, that has possibilities).
hi mom!Off to my PT session with Dad. Mom and LMB are going for a walk.

The teeny-weeny bikini never really “left”! lol

But you would look sooo cute in that bikini, Aaron! ;-) I don’t remember teeny bikinis being “back” 20 years ago, or whenever this first came out. I do remember that Lands End came up with a bunch of swim suits to address different body shapes in the 90’s though. So maybe that was for baby boomer demand, although Cathy won’t admit it or she’s lost in her own world as usual and thinks there’s only bikinis available.gmforde is right though, bikinis were always in style. What changes is who wears them.
Good morning, Aaron and gmforde! I’m guessing Susan will be here soon – good morning to you too! So, does this mean the surgeries are finished, Aaron, and mostly healing and PT is what’s left? Hope it goes well! Hi to Billy’s Mom and Dad, and a scratchie behind the ears for LMB!Hello to GsMom, Billy, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, Mona, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, soonergal, lippyfish, Mai Tai, Willi Nilli, legaleagle and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today!

I’ve been meeting lots of people (men & women) with the Cathy mentality this year. Several people I know won’t even get into a swimsuit… and this is Arizona!!

Susan I’m doing fine. I had my hip surgery last Wednesday and came home on Saturday. I’m going to be doing PT 3 days a week at the hospital and 2 days a week with help from Billy and parents.
Nope, no news on the driver. We all hoped he or she had a conscience, but apparently not. Lost cause, so I move forward.

As do I, Susan. My fire captain, as good a man as exists, called a while ago. He told me he’s working on something that should bring the culprit to the surface. Cap’n won’t stand still when his crew is hurt in the line of duty, or worse, through people that we count on. The police really let him down, and he’s putting the brunt of my and Gabe’s injuries on their heads because they weren’t doing their job. If the FD and PD can’t count on each other, what’s the use? They dropped the ball by not protecting Gabe and me, so there’s serious heck to pay, and in no small way. For one thing, the hospital and rehab costs for Gabe and me are coming out of the PD’s budget, not the FD’s.
My ‘moving forward’ comment isn’t meant to shut you down Susan. You’re a fine lady and your heart shines bright. Thank you so much for caring about us. I look only forward, maybe with an occasional glance over my shoulder, but not often and not for long.

Just one more, Aaron . . . I simply couldn’t resist when I saw it because it automatically made me think of you!!!!! ;-)

Then “predictable” should have been the way to actually GO here!!! DUH!!!!! Do stores really think that every woman on the face of the planet is a svelte, skinny little 18-year-old girl that has no cellulite on her arms and legs and has a stomach and butt that’s as flat as a board and can, therefore, comfortably wear bathing suits like this out in public without feeling embarrassed and self-conscious?!? I don’t THINK so! Obviously, store owners and merchandise buyers don’t actually LIVE in the real world with the rest of us. They really SHOULD join us down here on planet Earth sometime and get into the mindset that they need to sell us things (like bathing suits) that make us feel good about ourselves and that we actually wouldn’t mind wearing for a change!!!!! [doing a HUGE eyeroll here on this one!]
Aaron: Hope rehab is going well. With such a positive attitude, how could you NOT be up and moving around good as new soon?!? ;-)
Good evening to the both of you, lightenup, lightenupjr., K.F.G., Susan, lindz.coop, rgcviper, gmforde, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, hendelca, Gator007, legaleagle48, Willi Nilli, mollie05, kamyking, Wolf Emperor and all the REST of the “Cathy” fanatics joining us here tonight. As always, good to “see” you all!

lightenup you’re bad Mom! is too re: that muffintop comment last week. Bah! :-D
lightenup yeah we hope Aaron’s surgeries are now in the past (the landscape looks like Freddy Kruger got to him, mostly from multiple spinal surgeries when he had tumors). LMB sat beside Aaron earlier in the day, yiped, and then moved away from him. :-( I don’t know what he feels, but like Aaron said yesterday, LMB knows Aaron is hurt.

Hi Cathyites!! I sure hope they get those perps Aaron, but mostly I just want you to get well and back to your normal life.
As for the comic, I haven’t worn a bikini in 30 years and somehow, I just don’t miss it. (I do have to face the mirror in a leotard for ballet class tho, but not nearly as bad).
