Well, if Alex really was all that, Cathy, why didn’t you marry him? Oh, that’s right — he was too young for you and you had nothing in common. Or are you really just trying to make Irving jealous by pretending that you still find Alex attractive as “the one who got away”? EYEROLL

The grass is always greener, isn’t it, Cathy? As soon as someone gets married (or in a relationship), they always seem more appealing. Although Irving is being a bit of a green-eyed monster… If you make a point of calling an ex- dorky, then you’re showing your insecurities.Good morning, legaleagle and GrimmaTheNome!Good morning, Susan and Aaron!Hello to the rest of the clan… GsMom, KFG, Billy, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, Mona, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, gmforde, soonergal, lippyfish, Mai Tai, Willi Nilli, mollie, AnonaMona, Bronzepony, Shyygirl27, simpsonfan2, tegm, catsarge10, BJIllistrated, ncalifgirl58, Molly mcgee, Teresa, mar mar in MI and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today!

Paraphrased Forrest Gump: Dorky is as dorky does. And that’s also the pot calling the kettle black. (I think that one is older than all of us Cathyites put together).

Morning Susan when you arrive. I saw you elsewhere this a.m. Hi lightenup I’ve been neglecting you for a couple of days. Sorry sorry I’ll make up for it later with dessert :-) Time to sleep a bit fellow Cathyites. See you later . . .

Or, as Erma Bombeck once so famously said: The grass is always greener over the septic tank. Good to keep in mind. (Please tell me someone else remembers Erma…) Happy Friday to legal eagle, grimma, lightenup, shygirl, Aaron, Susan, mollie, ncalifgirl, and all the rest of the Cathy Clan yet to come!

I’ve never eaten anything quite like that – but it does look interesting!

I have to admit to being ever-so-slightly addicted to chocolate . . . especially when it has nuts in.

Hmmm. Have I just explained my interest in Cathy’s world, do you suppose?

I think Cathy is nuttier than Irving on this one. She’s hanging onto an old crush. He’s just expressing the perfectly logical opinion that the groom’s outfit looks bizarre.

“Emotionally open? Accessible?” Wow she’s weird. You’re right janinabarnes.

AnonaMona “when it has nuts in” LOL I think most of us resemble that remark :-D

Actually, there are times when nuttiness can be quite useful. If the husband of a friend of mine hadn’t “driven like a nutter” – her words, not mine! – she would have given birth in the car this morning.

So here’s to nutters – they can be handy to have around!

Hi Cathyites!!@Irving — jealousy is not pretty on men either.

@catsarge — I remember Erma and that comment — it is so absolutely appropriate here!!

@lightenup — thanks for the reference.

Actually I think a guy like Irving could never relate to a guy like Alex who wears his love on his sleeve and feels free to express it. I think Irving is totally uptight about things as much as Cathy is and hides in his little world of work, electronics and indifference to be sure he never has to come face to face with any emotions (his own or Cathy’s). And yes (to whoever said it), the bandaid far out-dorks the groom’s getup.

You’re wrong, lindz. the wedding couple dressing for the wall-climbing thing is indeed the essence of being dorky! It has nothing to with jealousy. Feeling free to express your love is certainly acceptable, and idiot outfits for tying the knot is also acceptable. You just have to be aware that most people WILL take one look at you and think “DORKY!”

Is it just me, or do the shorts of the groom look like … um … “not outerware”?

As for the main comic, I believe the usual [eye-roll] will do.

    Happy Friday, all.

End of a busy day, and a nice night off. Sure do love Fridays when they’re not FriedDays. Hope you guys got your fill of whoopie pies. Mine and a glass of milk hit the spot just right.

Night kittycatpawsare and any late-night crew. No rest for the wicked, but I’ll try anyway. See ya tomorrow :-D
