Seriously noun-conformative.

Where is the guy with the bath mat cart. I’ve been sitting here, waiting, all morning.

All I can hear is “Paper & Rags”, being called out going down the streets in the neighborhood.

The fish monger delivered the baccala and milkman delivered the bottles of milk with the cream floating on top, and left them on the front porch.

A laundry soap salesman knocked and had a huge box of powdered detergent with a prize inside the box!

If we had enough green Eagle Stamps and filled the book, we can cash it in for a $3.00 purchase….

That’s when we bought nouns…we’ll take three nouns, Alex, for $3.00!

Neither will Family Circus or Ziggy but I…oh wait, I don’t read those.

But Frog Applause, although not as funny as Mary Worth (which I also don’t read) is a classic. A morning without it would not be complete.

I gave up a decade ago, hahahahahahahahaha…..

These nouns are also verbs, by the way. So we’re at a grammatical crossroads, a Venn Diagram of sorts.

Remember, there’s “funny ha-ha,” and “funny weird.” Not many comics go exclusively for the latter, like FA.

In my lifetime? But Frida says reading comics can add years to your life. Now I’m confused!

I guess you might respond that “consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds.” So? I like small! And, yet further, being an indeed Old Fart, I do not look for, nor oft find, “funny”; I’ll settle for mildly amusing, or whimsical, or charmingly naive, or challenging, or even, if it comes down to that, lame! (I am easily satisfied….)
