There are some good things about being old: the dating game and new house days are behind me.

There was a time when new home buyers got a ‘starter home’, added sweat equity and saved to upgrade. But now every home is a ‘dream’ home. Why work and save when you can over-loan and have it now?

Seems many begin as we did in the 60’s with an apartment, then a mid-sized house with room for our sons and a yard to grow up in. Wonder if that would work today? See lots of stacked boxes with 2 parking spaces but no yard. Not much room for ‘discovering’ and digging and running and laughing.
