Bidenflation strikes again!!!

Shrinkflation is a hell of a drug.

I remember when candy manufacturers were trying to keep the price of a candy bar down to 5 cents. It got to the point where a nickel bought you a chocolate bar the size of an M&M.

I think a bowl of sugar would be cheaper. Most cereal is just sugar with a couple of grain nuggets thrown in anyway.

True enough about the boxes.

The cereal aisle is a total nightmare. Less product, smaller boxes, price through the roof, and unless you have a favorite, there are over 100 brands to select from! BOO HISS

It’s called ‘the fast lateral shuffle.’ First they reduce the amount of product in the container, but not the price. They don’t mention this in the hype. Next they ‘redesign’ the container to fit an even smaller size but not the price. Again not mentioned.

Recently noted a change in our pro-biotic yogurt. Used to be thick like the pudding cups but recently turned out watery. They have developed little bottles of the stuff. Looks as if they are eventually going to sell only the little bottles and dump the cups.

Also noted that 2% milk tastes watery – like 1%.

But food prices have only continued to rise.

What a life.

Another trick: use fractions to indicate a product’s weight. Hoping you won’t notice when it decreases from 9.72 oz to 9.38 oz.

They have engineers and think tanks trying to figure out how to give us less for more money.
