It’s a punchline, and a most punchable one at that.

Nice aspirations. Next we will find Jeff at the bottom of the basement stairs he just completed after starting from the top stair.

He’s hoping the windows, porch, furniture, and shrubs will wait until the next weekend.

First time I ever heard it described with the euphemism “doing some renovating,” but Jfff’s boudoir glance in the last panel gives it away.

I would have assigned the lowest priority to painting the basement steps. Who would know, and really who would care?

Can’t think of much to say about today’s Sunday edition. It’s just there on my screen.
