I’m not a bird watcher, but you just can’t help but notice some of them. Cardinals and bluejays nesting in the maple tree in my back yard. The chirping is not the problem, it’s the pooping on my deck, that’s just rude. Then there is these two Hawks, I don’t mind them diving into the yard and taking a rabbit or mice. But they land on my roof at 6 am and start mating calls to each other, loud screeching waking me up. I can’t shoot them, turns out they are and endangered species (hawks)? I,m an endangered species I need my sleep! The other day they were mating on my roof, why can’t they just get a room really. (or nest).
I am not a birdwatcher and am very bad at telling them apart, other than the very obvious. We have some sort of mottled new birds hanging around this year. Bigger than a robin, way smaller than a hawk, and just a normal yard looking bird that picks in the lawns for food. No clue at all what they are, but I have been seeing them every day now. I walk outside multiple times with my dog every day. What else do I have to look at?
A pair of barn swallows nest in eaves right across from my apartment door. They have been doing it for years now. They already raised five young this year and I think they may try for a second brood. The kids are gone but they are still sleeping by the nest.

Where I live, I have 5 crows (lately 7), Buzzards, a million of which, and I spotted one Eagle sitting near its nest. OH and bats, I have my bat house

Maybe he’s British. If so, the birds will be human females.

Sitting around watching the birds crowd around the bird feeder,
My brother says, “Someone must have left a good Yelp review.” I said, “Yeah, somebody tweeted about it.”

Since Dookey’s a girl, they’d probably have different criteria as to what’s a hottie.

Turtles might have a hard time identifying “hotties” by bird standards.

Isn’t that called twitching? I’m thinking a twitching turtle is a terrible sight to behold.
