I guess I really am an old timer – I just use ear plugs and I can carry them around in my pocket.

I really don’t understand why Betty wants to go to a coffee shop and read. You can have much better coffee at home, and read your book in peace.

this is one reason some don’t wear their hearing aids. They just don’t want to hear all of the noise.

My Dad always complained that at a restaurant table he could hear the conversation at a neighboring table but not the person sitting next to him. TV shows with background music were hard for him to understand.
