I tried Fantasy Football one season in the 90s and figured this out almost instantly.
Hated, hated, hated rooting for players on teams I was rooting against. (Sometime later, the whole concussion thing later led me to give up watching the game.)
And a few years ago an online store called Fanatics started a policy the if you buy a player’s jersey and they changed teams within a certain time period, 90 to 180 days IIRC, they will allow you to return the jersey and get that player’s jersey for the new team. I head they even did it for those who had purchased Nathan Rourke’s jersey when he was on the CFL BC Lions and went to Jacksonville. I would rather not wear a jersey with someone else’s name on it. YMMV

Thanks to Fan Duel and Draft Kings, not so much.

A little from column A, a little from column B. Key thing is, they follow the same game. Just different parts.

Given the popularity of fantasy, the gambling companies will eventually take bets on individuals as well as teams.

Gambling will sponsor professional fantasy teams.

Speaking of laundry, I quit buying jerseys and other junk just because it had a team logo or a player name.

Maybe I should take up fantasy football.

Remember how Jerry Seinfeld had a teenaged girlfriend? Hardly anyone remembers this.

Gambling? In football?
Shocking! Just shocking!
.
A coworker once told me that if you didn’t allow gambling, you couldn’t even get the owners to watch a horse race.

Fantasy football is gambling if you’re in a money league.

I tried to play fantasy baseball once but I couldn’t figure out who was on first.
