Recalling that he just made it through Forester Pass, it’s a good thing he’s not rolling downhill.
After I fell while hiking a few times, I got a good staff. Never fell again.
I’ve done a few steep, narrow downhills on my butt- on purpose.
Balance exercises every night, I’m now much better at catching myself when I trip. Takes about six months to kick in but well worth it.

I got a somewhat later start on last evening’s hike and didn’t factor in the rapidly decreasing daylight. Tripping hazards a-plenty after that point even with the light from last night’s “supermoon.”
Used to bowl with Alfred Murrah’s nephew in Colorado…
I can relate to the fall—did it on my walk this week…..
