I have often wondered how bosses in the workplace would react if their secretaries/assistants/trainees/etc. moaned and groaned every time they were asked to do something. In the home, the ‘housewife’ is the boss because she is expected to take care of things, make sure everything runs smoothly — meals on time, people up and ready to leave for school/work on time, laundry done and put away, house cleaned, pets fed and walked, etc. Others in the house are assistants. She tells them what to do because they don’t have the initiative to do things on their own, correctly and in a timely manner [something expected in a workplace]. But she is quite fair about things — she pays them the same wages that she gets.

Scary one was, “Dear, I want to move the water tank over there.”
Dug four deep holes, mixed 64 sacks of Sakrete, and assembled a bunch of treated lumber. Replubmbed the lines.
But actually it does look better……there.

Don’t send the books to the attic! Take to your local public library for their book sale.

I think you might be a Plugger if your house has an accessible attic.
