Only hats I ever enjoyed wearing were fedoras. Comfortable, shaded the eyes, sized to fit the individual and the situation, and could be found in shades to complement outfits. But that died in the 70’s. They’ve ‘kinda’ faded since then. Now there are the billed skull caps in the ‘one size fits all but doesn’t’ style. Ok for some types of outdoor work and casual situations, but little else.
