One of these days when you should have stayed in bed with a good book (Wallace the Brave by Will Henry for example) and a hot chocolate. Boy do I feel for her. Even Sterling is looking a bit concerned.
This is one of those days where you get everything that absolutely HAS to be done finished, get someone to watch the kids for the rest of the day, kiss the spouse on the forehead and shut yourself in the bedroom with a bottle of wine and appropriate snacks and stream the most brainless comedies you can come up with.
If this story arc ends with him finding a spare fuel filter onboard, and all these shenanigans being for nothing, I’m going to be very disappointed in this comic strip
So first Wallace’s dad boat sinks, then his mom rips her shirt, gets her haircut by sterling, finds out the truck in out of gas, and now she loses her phone. What else can go wrong?
So strange that today’s episode of Science Friday (via NPR) included a mention of hyperhydrosis, which makes it hard for those afflicted to hold onto things “even phones.” The scientist of the day said there is no good treatment for it, and more research is needed. (So far, the temporary fix is Botox injections—“expensive and painful.”)

At this point I’d hand the filter to Wallace, tell him to get down to the pier ASAP, lock Sterling in a closet, and go back to bed.

I sure hope she’s got the right fuel filter and that she didn’t just leave it in the truck.

Kind of reminds of the Frank Grimes episode of The Simpsons. When the sane person enters the world of Wallace and Dad.

By this time I usually decide that the universe is trying to tell me something… though I don’t always listen.
